Nice to meet you!
My name is Mallory Kennedy, and I’ve been a pediatric occupational therapist for 17 years. I received my Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Buffalo in 2007. I’m originally from New York and have called Portland my home for the past 12 years.
I am passionate about working with young children to build the foundations they need for the rest of their lives. I use a research based holistic approach guided by each child’s unique needs and interests. I believe strongly in the relationship between the therapist, child and caregiver. I make it a priority that all families feel empowered to best support their children and help them flourish.
When I’m not working as an OT, I love spending as much time outdoors as possible, whether it’s rock climbing, gardening, hiking or building fairy houses with my husband and two kids.
The occupation of a child is to play and grow, so let's explore, challenge ourselves and get messy!
I have received certification and trainings in the following:
Sensory Processing
Social/ Emotional Regulation
Executive Functioning Skills
Interoception
Primitive Reflex Integration
Handwriting Without Tears
Brain Gym
S’cool Moves
